Optomate is an Optometry appointment / billing / clinical package by Monkey Software. Phone 1300 650 295. Support is good.

Based on a Borland database, server installs are done by Monkey. Basically copy across all data then call them.

Data is spread over the Database and Documents directories.

Client install is easy, just point a shortcut to OptomatePremier.exe INIFILE=\\%SERVERNAME%\OptomatePremier\Transact\%CLIENTNAME%

You’ll need to create this transact directory if one doesn’t exist already. Easy to copy a working one then run SetRegion.exe and fill in the blanks. You can use a mapped drive or UNC. Medicare Online is a separate install and if required Monkey will login and do this for you.

When first logging in you’ll need registration and unlock codes. Get these from a working system under Help – Register.
