2022 - That’s a wrap from us at Health IT

What a year it was! Not only did you have to endure your third year of Covid seriously impacting everything, but the introduction of Medicare Web Services and the continued roll out of E-Prescribing brought significant upheaval to many practices. As part of the health community we’d like to thank you for doing your best to look after staff and patients in this difficult time. Let’s hope we all have a less exciting year in 2023!

Our  steady growth continues as we approach 20 geeks looking after your surgeries. This year we’ve again added to our family. Thank you for welcoming Cody, David, Charlie and Adrienne.

We looked long and hard to find the right practice liaison manager and we really did that so well! Adrienne has made a real difference to the standard and level of our communication with you and enabled us to provide better support. She has one job – to make your surgeries better.

Fighting to keep our customers ahead of the bad guys, we’ve refined and standardised our security stack and rolled it out to almost all of our customers*.  We’ve introduced an affordable security stack for your home computers. You don’t need us to manage these but we do need to cover off on security if they have any access to surgery or other confidential data.

*If you still have Windows 7, we can’t offer you the protection you need going into 2023. Please plan to replace these computers as soon as possible.

We’ve returned to developing our own software tools, testing them on our IT community before tackling some problems we think we can solve for Healthcare. We’re very excited about the upcoming release of OpenCSAT, a system which will allow you to survey your own patient’s experience in real time.

Customer satisfaction has been somewhat of a theme for the year. As we grow and mature we don’t always get everything right. I would encourage you to let us know if you think there is an area where we could improve. If you’ve had a really positive experience please also let us know, we love rewarding our staff when they deliver great service to our customers.

As always our office will be closed between Christmas and New Year, but we remain on call to assist with any emergencies.

We wish you all the very best for Christmas after another trying year. We hope that you get a decent break and spend some quality time with people who love you.

From Peter, Karin, Adrienne, Ava, Bailey, Bec, Charlie, Chris, Cody, Dan, Danny, David, Jackson, Jeff, Paul, Rohan, Tom and Tori.
